Have you ever heard the rumours saying that "omg do you know ums library is so bigg and have a lots of lots of book ?!" well the rumours is actually truth and here is the proof
RULES
Refer the picture attached to know the ethics when going into the library. Be careful, some part of the library are strictly wanting you to wear your matrics card around your neck, so avoid forgetting it eh.
AMERICAN CORNER
Location: 1st floor,
This corner is practically themed to be the US, the facility inside this corner is very up to date and very comfortable and looks leisurely. There's the iPad, the Mac, apples product and also DVDs that can be borrowed. Ps, inside here there is the one and only 3D-printer in UMS and a functional TV (with luck, sometimes there's movies showed).
NOBLE LAUREATE
Hey, wanna see the winners of the Noble Prize? In this room, it looks very fancy and has histories and also some journals of the noble prize winners. Ps, a nice place to sleep mainly the sofa.
KOLEKSI PERDANA
Location: 2nd floor
So? interested with politics? Here are the room filled with collection from biography to the books of our previous prime minister, almost looks like the noble laureate room. So many histories...
BILIK KUBIKAL
Location: Usually at the corner of any floors
Need alone time to study? Go to the counter and ask for a Kubikal room, you'll be given a key. You'll be isolated in a room to study. (Tips for asasi students: ask for the first floor area's one, bc most books that you'll be using as a Asasi will be on the first floor. First floor filled with books that relates to science.)
THE JOURNAL ROOM
Location: 1st floor
A room filled with journal practically.
MEGALAB
Location: Ground Floor
Hola! Lotssssssss of lootss of lotsss of computersssss. Mega indeed. Ps, to use, use log in your wifi login.
24-HOURS ROOM
Location: Outside of the library at the corner.
Stay as longg as you want. Open 24/7 without books but a nice place to study.
Btw, the islam bank atm is inside this room
OTHER FACILITY?
There's tv on the ground floor, if in luck catch a movie.
Toilet on every floor.
Surau provided.
The 'tempat simpan beg' at the outside (usually only put wet umbrellas)
HUNGRYYYY??? (when at library)
Go visit KIOSK Library. Recommended food: WAFFLE
Tips for asasi students;
First floor is the main place to find science related books. Looking for chemistry book to study with? Look for the author name Silberberg. Biology? Campbell. Physics? of course Serway.
Ground floor has very few science-related books, but looking for MUETs book? look there.
Oh yea, during no degrees student, library opens only till 5pm. Normal hours till 10pm.
Max number of books for asasi that can be borrowed is 8. Books that cannot be brrowed if they have RUJ at bone of the book.
